I still can't believe I just saw a 7'5 guy take a pull-up 30-foot game-tying three. This is what it must've been like to see a movie in color for the first time.

It’s a bit of a bummer that Wright Thompson is the only writer who gets the time and access to do these, but if there’s only gonna be one we’re lucky it’s him.

In thinking about what to do about the rogue Court, we maybe focus a bit too much on court packing yes or no, granted that's the most important. But some of the less sexy things can be done by more mundane statutory fixes. Congress could, and should, nuke the shadow docket.

A very astute (and upsetting!) piece that touches on four scary cultural trends: 1) The demand for spelled-out moral clarity in stories 2) A growing inability to understand different types of narratives 3) The "customer's always right" version of fandom 4) The growth of fandom as a social identity.

the 1992 version is peak One Shining Moment editing. You get the finger guns on shooting star, low-hanging fruit with Travis Best and the transition from Laettner’s stomp to dude wincing on the bench. A+ effort.

We have a very simple solution to universal programs benefiting the wealthy. You claw back the money through taxes on the back end. Everyone has known this for 100 years, but people get to pretend they don’t when it’s convenient for their ideology.
