Indeed, Anne Frank was a teenager who was culturally Dutch, having moved here at age 4, but was not a citizen. For Americans asking what they would do for a non-citizen child facing deportation to an unsafe country they never knew, there is a lot to think about here.

Today I learned âNorwegian Christian laws forbade citizens from conversing with and interacting with trolls, and in documents dating from 1274 to 1781, doing so would result in severe punishmentâ (source: Wikipedia), and I kinda think many people nowadays would be better off if this law was revived

This is disastrous; hospices do such important work, not only to give people a good death, but to provide pain management and other services to people with terminal conditions. The staff in hospices work so, so hard and the fact that these institutions depend on charity to operate is a scandal.
