A note for folks who might be watching B5 for the first time: don’t judge purely on season 1. Like S1 of TNG, it’s a little rough, and you can tell writers, actors, and characters are still figuring some things out. Its still got some high points, and things pick up by the time you hit season 2.

At work, for awhile, I had most of a row to myself (a few guys at the far end, but part of a different group). More recently, they’ve moved people in such that I have neighbors now. While I wouldn’t say that any of them are BAD, per se, but they’re taking some getting used to.

You know you’re serious about a comm when you realize that you’ve spent more than 3 hours fine tuning thoughts on character refs, poses, and perspective options.

Fur farm rescue wolfdog pups have officially turned 1 as of January 25th! Reia, Theia, and Cronus were born en route to us after a major rescue operation in Ohio. They are 65 percent wolf and 100 percent fluffball. Wish them a happy bday!

The rope lights along the driveway failed this weekend (which is weird because they’re encapsulated enough to usually resist all the rain we tend to get). Closer inspection found that the junction between the last two ropes seems to have suffered some kind of failure that freed all the magic smoke.

Well, the rest of the family has arrived, and late Christmas is go for tomorrow morning. I expect to be dragged out of bed at some ungodly hour by hyperactive nephews so wish me luck.

Someone said that Skeletor should have done the moral at the end of the He-Man/She-Ra Christmas Special, and that got me thinking — why didn't they ever ask him to do the moral?

Actual family Christmas will be on Saturday, due to my sister working in a medical field and being on call on the 25th. Will not involve werewolves, but will involve 2 and 4 year old nephews, so I’m not sure if that will be any less chaotic.

So for a ‘Christmas’ movie I watched An American Werewolf in London with my parents because of an animated conversation that was had yesterday. Apparently they saw it in theaters back in ‘81, but walked out after one of the violent dream sequences freaked my mom out, and she never saw how it ended.

The Christmas Coyote will keep watching you through the next year. Remember.
