Fieldfares gather in the oak to make a collective decision over which field to fare in . They have abandoned berry picking now & are feeding exclusively in the pastures, hunting for invertebrates. They often join a large, roving Starling flock, down from the Somerset Levels for the day.

There is something to be said about bike commuting home, and deciding 10 minutes in to have dinner on the way, and not needing to worry about parking. I don't think I ever do that in a car. The dumplings were very good as well.

If you're in central Texas & you have room to house a shelter dog in a spare room Friday - Mon/Tues, area shelters would love your help getting dogs out of outdoor kennels and into homes for a brief break. You don't have to do a lot with them, just let them decompress while we wait out the weather.
