i think the disconnect with the bluesky team and the userbase is that the userbase, the people who occupy this place, think of bluesky as purely a twitter alternative and the bluesky team thinks of it as purely a coding foundation for others build off of

Bluesky is a site explicitly founded by cryptocurrency libertarians with the idea that it would be a decentralized platform where users would be free to choose the open-source moderation and algorithmic feed tools they wanted, and by accident acquired a power userbase that hates all of those things.

Holy hell Liquid Glass/Apple's OS version 26 are unusable. My background picture on my phone is cropped at the top of the screen. The Safari menu bar is now useless, and accessing other tabs is slow. MacOS pesters me with a low battery popup every couple minutes with no "dismiss button".
