It would be better if we avoided the (a) delegitimising, and (b) obviously false suggestion that Gaza solidarity is an out of touch middle class lefty preoccupation. If the suggestion was inadvertent, its likely because the topic is being shoehorned into some intra-left beef where it doesn't belong.

Ultimately, what is really being policed here is opposition to British foreign policy. This is political policing which will function to intimidate into silence people whose opposition to government policy is expressed in the same terms as are used by leading, mainstream civil society organisations.

The only world in which Israel's name does not become synonymous with genocide, is a world which looks like Gaza everywhere, a world in which genocide is normalised everywhere. The new global fascist elites are trying hard to create that world
