Portfolios are living documents you can always go back to older projects and freshen them up with new lighting or composition. Some may say remove older work but sometimes using what you learnt in the time from when you last worked on it can do wonders to make it new and relevant of your skill set 🧵

Space exploration and science are really fucking great. I love how the NASA scientists are talking about the geological research driving this mission.

Sky are just a horribly run organization with the worst GM I've ever seen, but at least she is free this team. Always felt like the beginning of the end when they fired T Spoon.

This is an annual post at this point but every year it seems more and more miraculous that the Sky won the title in 2021

MGS2 and other games from earlier generations should be part of game art education and learning and not only about only real time and the latest tech. If you can make a hallway interesting with just an electrical box and a handful of pipes and let colour and light work for you then you get it.

I had to look up the timing, but I was lucky enough to work on Marathon for a bit over 2 and half years. From the early stages to when things really started clicking. Seriously an incredible and tight knit concept team and amazing world art team. Just some of the kindest and most talented folks.

Had a lot of fun with the Marathon server slam found myself always coming back to play and I'm really digging the art-style

I watched this team make it to the Super Bowl in 05 and this season is easily my favorite Bears season of all time. Just awesome seeing the whole city lit and CALEB FREAKIN WILLIAMS.

That train level in Pandora Tomorrow is still fantastic btw. Linear, but leverages a lot learned from the first Splinter Cell into making a tighter, more intuitive and spectacular little mission. Short and sweet, one memorable moment stacked after another.

Almost quaint how small scale Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is after playing any modern stealth action game but the way it turns a well lit corridor or a person looking out a window into a set piece is incredible. It's why it can have a level set somewhere as cramped as a train. And that lighting!

And now it’s on my phone forever.
