Outside of the technology becoming a small fraction of the price AND energy to run, AI companies have no path to profitability. I feel like investors are noticing, which is why they're cooling down on it. But what happens when more and more companies fold?

I'm wondering,would it be worth it... to use an actual specular texture in Unreal? Like, is every material having a default 0.5 for specular, stopping things from looking as good as it possibly could? Roughness/Metalness+Spec. Or maybe Spec Color?

3D genAi is essentially just bad photogrammetry, ran through a remesher. Again...this is what's unimpressive. We've had this technology for years and it already works better. The only difference, is you generate a mediocre image first, instead of taking pictures of a real object
