I had actually gone there originally to audition for a circus training course, but when I didn’t get in I’d intended to continue traveling Until I accepted a days work in a furniture factory that turned into a few days & eventually an offer of a full time job

This was done purely in the spirit of scientific discovery. I knew I could lift the weight safely, I just wanted to get a feeling for how far off I am from it being an ongoing part of my routine. with my pre illness rate of progression I had felt like I’d hit my goal & today confirmed that

So my goal of comfortably squatting& deadlifting my body weight or more by midyear was derailed by being sick for the last couple of months. However I knew could actually lift that weight so today chucked 90kg on for 3 x sets of 5 for each. Handled it ok but will go back to 70kg & keep working up.
