Here in snowy Beantown drivers get into fistfights over "saved" parking spaces. Meanwhile cyclists join together to make their commutes safer because the city hasn't.

Governments don’t expect drivers to shovel their own lanes. They shouldn’t expect people walking, biking, or rolling to shovel their own, either.

Far past time we started limiting the cars around boston common area. Honestly lets turn that area into mostly pedestrian only, and redirect cars around it. One piece of the city at a time, we need to start restricting car access.

This is the main issue I have with so much of the coverage around e-bikes. It's not that there aren't legitimate issues. But there is a panic around e-bikes and crickets regarding the daily toll of cars. And that's because the harm of cars is just accepted. It's baked into our society.

If you look at Google Street View you can see what was in place before, AND you can see multiple bikers and a standing scooter rider using the bike mobility lanes because they are kept free of illegal parking If you don't protect the lanes nobody can use them. Or worst case, someone is killed
