A video poem of mine appears in the new issue of Drunken Boat. Formally, I'd call the poem a Tennessee Crown. Turning with the spirit of the jester, the lines move through the gallows humor of healthcare workers. Thank you, editors of Drunken Boat. What an issue.

Opinion: The murder that led to an uprising around the world
The murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, proved, again, there are people to whom seemingly anything can be done with impunity

I genuinely think people are underestimating how much influence never Trump conservatives have in the Democratic coalition right now and how their influence is acutely felt by the people they’ve targeted throughout their political careers.

something very important for Dems to realize is that the tech overlords are not people you can win back by promising a lighter touch and saying a few nice things they’ve gotten a taste of mask-off fascism and they are not going back, they don’t want to play nice with the peons anymore

My mother died of Covid complications this year. She not only refused to believe Covid was ‘that serious’ she also refused to mask when people visited her at our home in India. Anyone anywhere who wants to mock people who mask can fuck all the way off.

One of Ireland’s greatest artists was the stained glass creator Harry Clarke (1889-1931). He created this window depicting >The Nativity< in 1918. Clarke’s work has seen great international interest recently as it includes elements of Hiberno-Celtic & Art Nouveau in a uniquely Irish harmony.

I’m sorry, but it is disgraceful to be an academic who uses this technology to conduct research. It should be prohibited in all of our scholarly institutions, including universities and journals.

it's not hard to just love your kid. entire world being dictated by people who simply do not love their kids as they are and want to invent ways for that to be morally justified, a way to hurt them or let them die for not being what they imagined... but ethically.
