Here it is, my annual reminder: don't spray spring dandelions with roundup. One flower can be visited by 100+ bees in a day, and your chemicals will kill all of them. 🌻

Renovation works continuing in Buoy Park. Heavy machinery has excavated around all the trees, leaving them standing on the islands of their own root systems.

Strikingly marked, and sized, spider huddled in corner of our front door. Think it's a female missing sector orb weaver? It's mild out atm but due to get cold again so relocated it to our garage to give it a chance of surviving.

This painting by William Ratcliffe depicts a quintessential scene of a Swedish cottage in winter. Inspired by his great friend, and Camden Town Group founder, Harold Gilman’s visit to Sweden in 1912, Ratcliffe began his own exploration of Scandinavia the following year.

Did u know? Warm winter weather caused by global warming has resulted in huge amounts of rain in the UK. Small souls like ants, worms & beetles will drown in waterlogged soil. To help excess rain drain away quicker avoid compacting the soil by walking on borders, or even your lawn right now. 🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲🪱

Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream. Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads. Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

'Footpath through a park.' (1920) Santiago Rusiñol almost completely concentrated on painting Spain's gardens and landscapes. Wherever he went, he recorded the domestic, at other times enigmatic, forms and rich vegetation of the shrubbery, orchards, and arboretums he discovered.

How microplastics may be reshaping our bodies and minds. “The particles are in our blood, brains and guts – and scientists are only beginning to learn what they do.” Microplastics like those from car tires. The bigger and heavier the vehicle, the more microplastics shed.

"Trees will only grow in fertile soil, not up in mountains." This self-seeded pine, lodged in a crevice high up in a sheer rock escarpment in the Caha Mountains, begs to differ. It says that trees will grow just about *anywhere* sheep can't get at them.

The grotesque inequality of wealth in the United States is at the root of countless problems. If you are an oligarch, you know this. They win the class war by fighting the culture war. Don’t take the bait.
