i have a lot i could say about loving your own work as an artist. it doesn't mean that you love yourself or even that you love your finished product. the most important thing is that you enjoy the process even though it's difficult and effortful. making art is fun. if it isn't fun for you then stop.

also "don't start your magnum opus as a beginner" is only applicable if you want it to be anything. if you want to make your magnum opus because you hope it'll become a netflix series someday then build some skill first. if you want to just do it because it's fun then do it. i did and it's awesome
