Thickness rating of books- I swear I will never print a 200+ page full color book again on my life

completely niche complaint but i like to browse jp crafters and a lot of them use BASE as a shopfront... as an international buyer tho it's the bane of my existence bc whatever payment processor they use rejects all my cards (meanwhile MINNE-based shops don't) DON'T MAKE ME PROXYYYY AAAAA

i'm not much of a fig buyer so maybe this is an uninformed take but the new fran figure feels insanely expensive??? especially for something that doesn't have many flourishes/standing pose... its 40k yen... maybe it's the size... i dunno

sometimes i wonder if my pacing/paneling is too dense bc generally i do 6-8 panels per page, but now that i'm up to this page count i feel like i'm justified in not doing 4-6... otherwise the final book will be very thick (printing+shipping $$) imo you'd be surprised how much a5 can accommodate

- in my mind raph has lots of scars from being a woodwarder/fighter in general but i'm too lazy to ever draw them except for 2 large ones on his back (maybe he glamours over them... <-- excuse) - he's meticulous with his appearance like having neat hair and one of his fav places is tbh a nice bath

recently i splurged on a nice standing desk and it really does feel so luxurious to watch it go up and down smoothly through my presets 😆 i feel so proper with an adult workspace

i saw some tweets about some statics having couples as co-healers (to their detriment) and it dawned on me rapollo would be a healer couple bc raph is SGE and apollo is AST fuckkkkkkkk HAHAHA

the rapollo brain disease is too severe i fear,,, i just zoned out in a meeting w my boss talking to me because i was trying to work out how the rest of my scene plays out

the 2 wolves in me: - the one that wants to draw comic quietly for 3 yrs straight for honestly little payoff but would be the most satisfying oc project to pull off - the one that just wants to draw a bunch of original art that only takes ~2 wks and would be nice so i could continue doing art events

something i'm a huge stickler for is you have to ABSOLUTELY draw your speech balloons. no exceptions. if you're going to use a circle/oval tool in my opinion you might as well use comic sans. your art can be nice but bad balloons and awful typesetting (font, spacing, alignment) instantly ruins it

it's a continuous learning process, and even now for example i think my balance with flat blacks is complete ass and i don't know how people draw just large swathes of black for clothing and stuff and it's nicely highlighted and looks natural!! i've been attempting it here and there though lol

very handy resource document for everyone!! thank you for writing so much about the topic 💕 there are actually a lot of resources out there for drawing/doujin or manga out there but unfortunately (and understandably) it's in japanese, so it's rare for the process to be demystified in english
