Rob Reiner let Christopher Guest be such a good villain in THE PRINCESS BRIDE, it kind of shocked me that he and Corky St. Clair were played by the same guy.

I'm glad that the new SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT seems to be pleasing people, though. It's so much better than the original, and Mike P. Nelson is really establishing himself as an interesting director.

This is the first time I'll be watching THE FOG remake. I'm guessing this will be the last.

Matthew Lillard story: He directed a movie called FAT KID RULES THE WORLD (if you find the DVD I’m quoted on it!), a fantastic coming-of-age movie I saw at SXSW. Adored it, and I told him so at the Q&A. He smiled so wide. “I love you, dude.” Felt great. Great guy. QT says stupid shit. Always has.

Didn't put me in mind of one of the worst films ever made. I like killer robots, I like Matthew Lillard, I like evil McKenna Grace, and I like Wayne Knight. I was entertained.

BETTER WATCH OUT. The combination of FUNNY GAMES and HOME ALONE that the world never needed, with an end credit cookie that just makes the movie even worse.

Rewatching I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (2025). I liked this a lot in the theater. I can now see why a lot of people don't like it. But I still like it.

Thankfully, Pine and crew got their own "just for fun" type of STAR TREK movie with BEYOND. It was no STAR TREK 4 or even close to the wacky tone, but it's pretty great.

I'm not saying that BACK TO THE FUTURE is NOT a stone cold classic or masterpiece or even better directed or acted, but STAR TREK IV was always kind of a low-stakes, more amusing alternative that was great fun for an eight-year-old to watch.

Trekkies: If you see this, post your first experience with Star Trek. I can't say I'm a Trekkie, per se, but I really like so many of the movies. Anyway, this movie was my first exposure, and I always liked it better than Back to the Future as far as time travel movies go.
