Don't know why this is what immediately popped into my head, but there's a certain energy and charm to a marathon of THEATER OF BLOOD, HOWLING II, and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS.

Watching the '90s version of IN SEARCH OF DARKNESS and I have a criticism that won't shock anyone which is that they covered PUPPET MASTER III but they didn't really, because nobody actually says much of anything specific about that film. But it deserves to be earnestly highlighted.

I absolutely hate the new clickbait headline trend to refer to a show that aired for a few seasons as "2-part" or "3-part" or referring to seasons as "parts" in general. "The CW's 10-part SUPERMAN prequel." Motherfucker, do you mean SMALLVILLE?!

One of the most underrated parts of this movie is that Viktor's actions prove he's not just a guy who loved his daughter but loved racism more. Immediately upon seeing Selene he orchestrates a plan to repeat the thrill of that original murder, like a serial killer.

As I remembered, the twist in UNDERWORLD, the shift in perspective and how it examines the way history is written, is incredible stuff. Fantastic. But the movie is also like your friend attempting to write their first fantasy who can't stop lore dumping every single aspect of the world they created.

Time to rewatch the movie that briefly became my entire personality in high school.

She was torn out of the '80s and sucked through a portal into Dracula's castle for ten minutes and in that time she killed five vampires. Legend.

Caught up with MORTAL KOMBAT II and sorry, can't be impartial, as a Kitana main, this movie felt like it was made for me specifically.

This is something I never shut up about. A decade since the release of STRANGER THINGS (and the retro wave started before that!) the '80s are still constantly being marketed to kids whose parents weren't even alive to see them.

Now that I can talk about it, what thrills me about doing CASTLE FREAK as a novel is that I've always felt it's the biggest Full Moon property to never get much of anything else. Like, the remake, sure, but no sequel, a comic cameo, but no full comic like so many others. But it's one of their best.

Sometimes I still think about how, in the 129 years since DRACULA was published, we finally got an adaptation with a Count that looks identical to the description in the novel, in a movie that did not call him Dracula.

It will always be wild to me that they made an entire movie to appease angry fans by correcting every single narrative choice made in THE LAST JEDI and then took absolutely no lessons from the fact that the angry fans didn't like that movie, either.
