Be kind to the children working at the grocery store today. They were out until 1 AM for Halloween and up early to scan groceries. When my candy bar was getting scanned, I asked the checkout worker to hand it to me so I could put it in my pocket. In his other hand was a 3-pound bag of potatoes.

100 trick-or-treaters on the dot this year. I only track totals but if I had to guess, fewer little kids, about the same amount of teenagers. We're by a high school so I expect we'll always get teens. They're always so excited and I love it so much. I love that my whole neighborhood gets into it.
