This gives a flavour of the reach, determined and well funded backing the fossil lobbyists have. They send out an average of 2 to 3,000 āreportsā every month, these are then cut and pasted into the papers and hey presto. Another avalanche of bullshit for the extreme right to smash in our faces.

I would beg you to read the whole thread, as I think very few people have seen how fast the foundations of democracy are being torn out in the UK, and how far down the road towards authoritarianism we have already travelled. Sorry to pester you, but this could not be more important. Thanks.

Report today that UK gas fired power stations are failing or reducing output because of hot weather, This is a well known thing for gas turbine generators, their cool sink is the air that they suck in, rather than external cool sink such as a river.

In simple terms whenever I'm presented with a person stating that wind turbines have caught on fire, my answer is always, did it kill 167 people? We are close to 38th anniversary of Piper Alpha. An event that defined the UK offshore industry, especially here in Aberdeen, & shaped my whole career.
