Gin Blossoms are pretty great live. I enjoyed the fact that a band I've enjoyed since I was 13 played a free show downtown in the place I'm from on a Saturday night & we had A REALLY GOOD TIME. Found a neat li'l bar doing Oktoberfest with a German food truck & avoided lines & had further fun.

If this Gin Blossoms show tonight didn't have a slew of mitigating factors – I asked off work, it's free, my mom is going to hang out with us, I've never seen them before, the weather is perfect – I would definitely just be crawling into bed & not coming out until morning. Today has sucked.
