This is a really great start of an overview of the complex mess that is library eBook lending. One that would be good as part of an email to your state legislators to seek legal change in your state. Wink wink. Nudge nudge. 📚

Last ride on the streetcar. I know most people thought it was a waste, but I loved it. Smooth ride, free, spacious, big sunny windows. I used it frequently to get around. I will miss it.

Shame on Mendelson for saying this after ramming the deal through with no regard for detail. Hundreds of people signed petitions and sent literally thousands of emails during the Council’s deliberation urging them to reduce and relocate parking, and add a new metro station. He didn’t listen.

There have to be ways to hold companies liable for harm that don't invoke ageism, puritanical views of 'acceptable' content, or straight up fascist 'show me your ID' digital surveillance.

I'm so glad she wrote this. The portrayal of her in this series is, to me, indefensible. She deserves an apology from the filmmakers and FX. And if you hear yourself saying you portrayed a real person (who's alive!) in a particular way to manipulate your audience, please go improve.
