It's telling that all the renderings of the RFK Stadium redevelopment either don't show or profoundly minimize the parking structures, making it look like it's going to blend seamlessly into the urban fabric, instead of be surrounded by a fortress of parking that will be empty 95% of the time.

Shame on Mendelson for saying this after ramming the deal through with no regard for detail. Hundreds of people signed petitions and sent literally thousands of emails during the Council’s deliberation urging them to reduce and relocate parking, and add a new metro station. He didn’t listen.
