OBAA and SINNERS both did what great art is supposed to do—reflected our world back to us in deeply imaginative ways, which inspired real public engagement and discussion beyond mere admiration. They thrilled and irritated and I think that’s amazing.

The whole thing was just such a blast to watch as a movie that the rest almost feels academic. I agree that it lined up with the broader moment both too well and imperfectly but also come on now.
