Had a bit of pain yesterday while cycling. Went to minor injuries at half 7pm, then on to A&E. Now, just 9 hours after leaving last night, I'm back, gowned up, and ready to go under for minor surgery. The #NHS has its issues, but my God what a service. Tax me more, keep it in public hands.

What a stunner of a day. I adore 'proper' winter days like this, where it barely gets above freezing and as Lindisfarne sang, creeping cold ice fingers caress without permission. Not great for heating bills or my still thawing carcass, mind... #winter
