Heavily armed ICE thugs are rampaging without accountability through the streets of this country with a rhetoric of protection and safety while terrorizing everyone around them. So extreme, so dishonest that even the NYT had to run an honest headline.

Which is not to say it's okay when they stick to their intended targets, just that there's something inherently chaotic and sloppy about gun use that should be factored in. Except in the movies that a lot of these gunslingers feed their fantasies on.

Violence is too often sloppy; it spills over. Misogynists kill a lot of men, racists kill white people, ICE in its attacks on immigrants and anyone who looks like them just killed a white US citizen. When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail; when you're a gun everyone is a target.
