Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

this is where your money goes when you buy harry potter stuff. rowling isn’t shy about it. amnesty wrote an even-handed report that laid out what anti-rights groups do; rowling uses her billions & clout to suppress it. when you give rowling money; she spends it on stealing people’s human rights.

I was always gonna boycott the Harry Potter TV series but I would urge anyone on the fence to stop engaging with the franchise as long as JKR is using her proceeds to fund her continued attacks on trans people and allies. Reheated nostalgia slop just isn’t worth it.

A reminder that the nyt newsroom has had a years-long de facto ban on hiring or assigning trans reporters or editors to cover news about trans ppl. It’s the exemplification of bigotry. Another thing the nyt has in common with segregationist newspapers.

The root of hatred is fear, and I'm not afraid of anti-trans activists. To the extent I understand their values I find them either contradictory and poorly formed or abhorrent. So I think quite poorly of them as people. But seeing them as people, I can't hate them the way they hate me.

I found this essay by @magsvisaggio.com personally challenging in the best way. Mags' anger and hatred of conservatives is very raw, in a way I don't quite share. I think that's partly because I was never as good as Mags. I've never struggled to understand the joy some people take in sadism.
