okay I think tonight was the tipping point and the excuse I needed to not use RetroArch for anything other than the fringe consoles that Bizhawk can't do for RetroAchievements anymore. RetroArch not being able to handle ReCoded but Bizhawk can with the same core is dogshit quality from RetroArch.

Genuinely frustrated. Had to stop ReCoded due to MelonDS locking up in Olympus Coliseum, then Star Nova had a weird update and a difficulty spike that seems made to punish Danger Mario builds, then going back to try to fix ReCoded, DeSmume's cores don't run the game efficiently.
