Speaking of auto tariffs, Canada is imposing a 25 percent tariff on all U.S. autos that don't comply with USMCA (or CUSMA depending on your geography). insidetrade.com/daily-news/c...

One thing I learned here is that there was little need to distinguish between US and Canadian auto parts after the two signed an auto pact in 1965. Because of that and subsequent auto integration (bilateral FTA, NAFTA, USMCA etc), NHTSA doesn't bother differentiating between US and Canadian content.
