You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs) Good tech. Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales) Bad tech.

Classic fan-damage here, but this is a situation where even though I don't really care about the Orioles at all I legitimately can't stand Mike Elias. He's not upholding the basic terms of the Being A Baseball Team social contract, and it sure seems like a vanity/ideology thing. What a waste.
