Me and my younger sibling were allowed to watch Bond films when we were young. They were the exception to my parents’ strict rules on what media we were allowed to consume.

i deeply despise the derisive and dismissive "it's just a kid's movie" defense of criticism aimed at films targeting a younger audience because it perpetuates the idea that children don't deserve quality art made for them. a younger target audience does not and *should not* necessitate poor quality.

For the last one, I had to explain to my partner that three-and-a-half stars is a good rating. She still wasn't entirely convinced. 😅
