An undeviating vision of interstellar dreamscapes, heavy metal, ethereal beauty, transfixing colors, tsunamic sadism & perfervid engrossment. A sumptuous, genre bending, cranium-eradicating MASTERPIECE. #Horrorthon

An enjoyably fresh reboot/sequel that carves out its own teenie niche in the "legacy" concept. #iknowwhatyoudidlastsummer slashes with sleek kills, cinematography & fun absurdity. #GetAway is viable as an awkward dismal comedy that shifts into a graphic massacre. Sadly, only some of the cheeky bits work & half of the gorefest is substantial. This ironically gets lost in its own offhanded style, failing the impact it could've landed. #NickFrost was solid as usual. #Horrorthon

#BillSkarsgård & #AnthonyHopkins exceptionally prop up this constricting thriller about selfish men & their sinister, ill-intent masquerading as familial responsibility & retribution. Unfortunately, the story & script doesn't know where to take the duo's build-up with a shaky final act. #horrorthon

Optically engulfing, aesthetically pleasing, & a testament to what sheer will & creativity can accomplish on the meagerist of resources. #TheHeadHunter is a crowning achievement of fire, vengeance, & dread. #JordanDowney is an independent visionary, worthy of all the exposure & praise. #horrorthon

#TheBlackDemon plays like a soaked B-movie, a semi-commentative yarn about oil companies destroying the environment & a shark thriller riddled in the psychological/supernatural. Unfortunately, it doesn't succeed on anything it's trying to be. Just another dud that's dead in the water. #Horrorthon

#StevenSoderbergh crafts a slow, melancholic haunted house throwback & injects it with a provocative spectative presentation that's highly beguiling. #Presence carries a shocking amount of profundity as it progresses, leading to twists that simultaneously stir & tug at the heartstrings. #horrorthon

With its depiction of fame magnifying addiction & trauma, it's easy to forget #Smile2 is an isolationist horror sequel. That is until its FUCKING NIGHTMARE FUEL falls upon a tragically helpless victim (#NaomiScott giving an implicitly OSCAR worthy performance) & harrowing misery strikes. #Horrorthon

There's a semblance of campy unintentionality lurking under #Werewolves' hyde that could make it reasonable. Unfortunately that's overshadowed by a piddly dink script, shoddy effects, rampant blandness & a waste of #FrankGrillo, #KatrinaLaw, & #LouDiamondPhillips. A complete fucking dud. #Horrorthon

#Revenge remains a graphically raw transformation of righteous fury & feminist subversion. A pure, violent journey with commentary, symbolism, & old-fashioned BLOODY retribution. It's one of the absolute best vengeance films ever conceived. Horrific, untethered, & certifiably badass. #horrorthon

#MNightShyamalan's daughter, Ishana, makes her directorial debut with a folk-ish, contemporary spooker that builds its suspense & terror immaculately, even if the third act doesn't entirely land. Still, a superb introduction to talent worthy of the namesake. A chip off the old block. #horrorthon

While not the most original themed slasher, #HeartEyes does a commendable job at balancing its viable laughs, slick violence & anti/pro commentaries on Valentine's Day. It also succeeds at being a mirthful romantic comedy too, thanks to #OliviaHolt & #MasonGooding 's wholesome chemistry. #horrorthon

Despite its divisiveness, #Skinamarink is an implicit revelation in experimental & independent cinema. A grainy, atmospheric, "architectural" horror story that lingers within long after viewing it. A confounding, petrifying gem that defies convention & emphasizes unyielding originality. #horrorthon

While not a 100% adaptation of the popular video game, #UntilDawn throws out a frenetic time-loop story with ruthless kills, nutty chills, & efficacious creativity. It irrevocably delivers if given an actual chance to show what it's made of. Regardless, another success for the VGA genre. #Horrorthon

#DontMove is a serviceable Hitchcock/1990s hybrid that keeps the suspense boiling throughout its lean & mean runtime. #KelseyAsbille & #FinnWhittrock are exquisite in making this distinct cat & mouse game work while also crafting enough psychological depth to give it an extra oomph. #Horrorthon

Another solid @stephenking.bsky.social adapt, thanks to #OsgoodPerkins' eccentric, deranged style. While the dark comedy falls flat at times, its strong commitment weirdly echoes #edgarwright & #Mst3k. Honestly, this is the best #TheoJames has ever been & that's a miracle onto itself. #Horrorthon

#JamesGunn 's amazing reign of the new #DCU continues in #Peacemaker Season 2 with tons of sexuality, dialogue heavy nonsense, easter eggs, pop culture, reestablishing mythos, hypergory violence, emotional depth, spastic hilarity & superb music. #JohnCena & the cast are excellent! Bring on Season 3!

#TrickrTreat remains an anthological cult classic that captures the essence of the macabre season with its concurrent tales, drenched in tradition, mayhem & mischief. The cast, effects & production are very strong, while the still iconic Sam is a demonic, precocious, harbinger of death. #horrorthon

A joyously energetic build-up of talent & synchronicity that descends into a ruthless annihilation of humanity by sociopathy/psychopathy within its unsuspecting characters. #GasperNoe's voyeuristic, devolving, disorienting, & anxiety-fueled direction is unconceivably maniacal & hellish. #horrorthon

With a convoluted plot & horror elements being reprogrammed with action-movie aesthetics, #Megan2 keeps its campy, unbalanced tonality while throwing in a psuedo cautionary tale on A.I. ethics & dependency. The sassy robot still slays though, which is what we craved in equal measure. #horrorthon

#LeighWhannel once again brings a classic into modernity as #Wolfman is equal parts supernatural thriller with palpable mystery, cinematography, & gruesomeness while also acting as a symbolic catalyst for the estrangement & connection of its characters. A welcomed but strange execution. #horrorthon

#TheStrangeThingabouttheJohnsons is a nuanced & dismal view into familial love & connection completely destroyed by a disturbing secret. #AriAster's impeccable writing & directing are imminent with this short, dark, semi-satirical story, showcasing his brilliance early in his career. #Horrorthon
