having more cravings to adapt my style again, I think my approach sketching and line kept similar but then just dropping flats in under that instead of rendering, would be sick to get an idea out in a day or two rather than a week or more.

Nvm, client emailed me and said there were no changes to my roughs, I'm not despondent about anything I'm going to eat the densest pie I can find.

Feeling recently that despite the temptation to be despondent about England all the time there are some really good bits of it, and it's probably politically worthwhile arguing in favour of these good bits. Immigration is part of our identity and our history and our responsibility.

What would Orwell think about a huge face on a gigantic screen telling a crowd of people they should wage war on foreigners and dissidents? No way of knowing, I guess.

fiddling around with layer effects, clipping masks and layer masks. It's so exciting to be able to apply the effects and noise I like to use more precisely, might have to do some images where playing with this is the intended outcome. it's non destructive on the FX layers too!

had another embarrasing photoshop revelation, worked out I can use layer masks to apply things like noise and gradient maps as a brush across an image, think it'll open up some really exciting effects.

Some more pretty old art but something really clicked for me when I did this one. Figured out that one of the big problems I was having was a lack of depth in a lot of my art. As soon as I added the tiles to the floor I was like oh wow that's so much better.
