Artists and illustrators should be careful when looking for an agent. Years ago, an illustrator friend of mine here in Germany realized her agent wasn't getting her any work, but she still had to pay them a commission from each project she completed (for clients who didn't come thru the agency).

Winter Adventure ❄️ ( personal artwork )

So thrilled to announce that Cry, Voidbringer is @satisfictionbox.bsky.social's book for May! I had the pleasure of illustrating the dustjacket and edges for my own special edition, which was a goal I'd always had as an author/illustrator. This was a dream come true 😍

Finally finished this up! It's done in watercolor, gouache, and color pencils. I know I should try to render it in more detail but I'm not sure I want to. I like the texture being able to be textures. Maybe that will change in the future. For now, though, I like it 😅
