Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the most important piece of media of my childhood. It was one of the core motivators for me wanting to pursue art as a career. With the latest teaser trailer for the remake I felt compelled to make some fan art, exploring how young Link could look in my style.

I’m doing a lot of cleaning today, and had a thought about my old Pokémon cards. With how crazy popular they are right now does anyone have any clue how much my core cards from childhood are worth?

It’s just occurred to me whilst cleaning that I’ve never bought a Marvel comic. Does that make you want to say what the hell, or fair enough? 😅

I’m very grateful to have constant work on at a time like this, but the move from longer term projects to lots of back to back short, snappy projects is such a difficult one to get used to. I feel so stretched and overwhelmed all the time 🫠. I have so much respect for those who do this.

Ive really wanted to do some Ocarina of Time fan art since the teaser trailer, I just need to find some free time!! 😫

It’s kinda cute to me that I used to resonate a lot with Link when Ocarina of Time released in 1998. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, left handed etc. Now, I see his little chubby limbs and his thick blonde hair in this remake and think of my son 🥲.

Im currently working on some initial designs for a video game project (for a client), and I’ve got to be honest, I absolutely love working on these sort of projects. There’s so much more time to explore ideas and concepts vs. a lot of board game projects I work on.

It feels good to have found time to create some personal art over the last month!

For non-native English speakers, and even possibly Americans, I wonder how many of you know the cultural difference between between "pretty good" in British English vs. American? In British English, it means kinda good. Pretty is often used as a way of saying partly. Whereas in US means very good.

It seems that some of my emails are ending up in spam. If you've sent an email through my website, the chances are that I did reply. I don't ghost people, ever!

I found a massive tub of Lego Duplo in a charity shop for £5 this morning 💪. My little guy (plus my wife and I) are very happy right now 😁.

I used to love making things in 3D but never got to a level where I could rig/pose my creations, or have any idea how to make game suitable assets. I still use 3D but mostly just to mockup ideas for 2D illustration. I’d love to be able to make 3D art for games though!

One day, I'd love to get someone to make a figure of Theok: the little old man in a lot of my illustrations. It'd be awesome to have the little guy sitting in my bookcase 😁
