I wish there was still room for handcrafted, not perfectly polished shows like Jim Henson's The Storyteller. We live in a world directed by investors; there doesn't seem to be any room for quirky, fun, offbeat, risky shows and media. Such a shame.

I still dream of working on a 3D Zelda-like game. Feels less likely with video game jobs in decline, but I can still dream 😁. Guess I'm lucky enough to work on a 2D Zelda-like, even if it was eventually shelved.

Here's a small portion of an animated bumper I made to promote a video game from @owlcatgames.bsky.social (Blind Descent). Seeing the latest advances in generative AI and how they've invaded space, I feel lucky to have at least produced this little piece from start to finish 🥲.

When confronted with most uses of genAI imagery, I ask myself: "But why?..." I see it used in libraries, shops, in articles like this one, and in pretty much all cases, they could've just used an existing image, especially true in this case... 🤷

The tools are so simple that a 3 year old could use them... maybe the issue is that we don't WANT to use them, not that we don't know how...

I've completed the core game and it's a shame but the storyline is quite bland and doesn't really fill out any of the gaps in TOTKs story. That said the gameplay is a lot of fun and although I've seen complaints about the playable characters, I personally quite liked them!

Lol... I keep getting hyperfocused on a couple of Lego sets for some reason. I don't tend to buy Lego or can justify spending money on it rn, but it doesn't stop me from looking at sets... a lot 😅.
