We're extremely lucky that every year without fail we have breeding Kingfishers at Warnham LNR. Usually the first sighting gets everyone excited and the hides are packed, today I comfortably sat with a few others watching this cracking male.

Friday again already! Just knew a circular walk we like around Tilgate Forest would be productive. Promised the wife we'd find her favourite Toadstool, the Fly Agaric and we lost count of how frequently we did.

Another visitor to our newly enlarged wild pond, this a Southern Hawker, laying oodles of eggs in and around the perimeter. I wondered whether I was doing the right thing enlarging it, shouldn't have worried, provide it and nature will find it!

One of our local foxes has realised she can view all 3 gardens where food will be left out by simply sitting on our shed roof. She can also see the other foxes as they move around on their nightly prowl. Smart girl!
