Like many animals that hibernate, bumblebees must reach a certain weight to survive the winter 💪 Buff-tailed bumblebee queens, the largest in the UK, must weigh at least 0.6g – roughly the same as a grain of rice – but they can reach as much as 0.85g – less than a paperclip 🧷
