It’s curious to me that someone could look at this map and say Katie Wilson is the mayor of Capitol Hill. Or that Bruce Harrell represents “real Seattle”. Nah. He always and only represented the wealthy (white) older landowners against the younger more economically precarious residents

I’m thankful for brave women like Lindsey Boylan in NY and Monisha Harrell in Seattle. They stood up to men in power, held them accountable, didn’t relent, and helped defeat them. All at great personal cost.

To clarify for folks asking questions. There are: 1. 1,463 accepted ballots left to count and 2. 1,540 signature challenges to resolve. #2 will almost certainly increase Wilson's lead. Harrell would have to get close to 100% of #1, plus a bare majority of trickle-in mail. The race is over.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon
