Very pleased to announce that the cover design for my first book has been finalised. Co-authored with Professor Adam Fairclough, Madam V: Virginia Vernon's War will be published by The History Press in August. The story of this fearless woman needs to be told!

Okay, Bluesky crashed when I tried to do this with a huge thread, so the following link is to a Google drive folder with all the photos I took at the NAACC open house. I'll post a couple here and there but the folder has ~300 pics.

Latest off the bench: 1/72 Kriegsfischkutter, a small patrol and minesweeper ship. A staggering 612 units of these saw operational use, from northern Norway down to the Peloponnese. The last one retired in the 70ies as a fishing boat in Poland.

My collection of finished 1/35 ww2 tanks (with a few "finer" 1/72's and a really tiny tiger). Need new display boxes like these badly, dont want the M5 or 7TP to get all dusty. 7TP holds extra sentimental value. Got it from my daughter (then at 6 yrs old) as an x-mas gift in 2024.

First for 26. Tamiya's 1/48 F-15J. 60th Anniversary of Chitose Airbase, as flown by 201 Squadron JASDF. Unsure if this variant is correct, but just look at those tails. Kept her clean. 2 tone grey may be too subtle.

I'll stop with the old Hasegawa B-17G as I've reached the tipping point where anything else is likely to make it worse. Maybe a little too tan for my liking, but a fun kit to build. Wrong rear turret, likely didn't have the red flashes, but it looks decent to civilians ๐

Right, that is me done with the Airfix Shackleton. A very good kit, great decals and in the end a good looking plane. A few mistakes and a few things I will do differently next time but overall happy with how it's turned out.
