This pushback has been done in many other cities: LA, Chicago, Charlotte, DC… ICE has been steadily escalating in response to local non-violent resistance. What set Minneapolis/St. Paul apart is the scale of ICE’s attacks and after near murders in Chicago and DC, ICE finally killed observers.
