Meta has something like 70,000 employees and it is nigh impossible to reach one of them to receive help on fraud accounts or hacking. Not just creators, but agents, publishers. We have contacts, they ghost or disappear. Clients with millions of followers, doesn't matter. Disgraceful.

The hardest thing about deleting social media apps (yes, to hop on at 3:38am because sleeping is overrated) is not being able to shout about all the amazing books coming out from my amazing clients.

My son saw the Dog Man movie last night and today told me that he felt really sad because the villain was called ADHD. I haven't seen the movie, but if the targeted audience who has ADHD comes home upset because a movie portrays something that's part of him as a 'villain', that doesn't sit well...

I told my 9 year old son about the KL and D battle and he is obsessed and recorded 3 disses to me tonight. And so I’m up, the house asleep, listening to them to pick out words to try to tear him apart. He’s gonna love it.

I envy my wife’s ability to fall asleep mid conversation, sentence, argument, show, whatever. It’s the power move.

Strange when someone famous dies and everyone posts adoration and all I can think about is the time that person acted really badly such that we walked away from a collaboration.

If authors have to pay a grand to use a quote by a singer, to simply open a chapter of a book or reference, it would seem fair that AI corps would need to pay for entire books.

Sometimes I read a VERY LONG BOOK and I truly believe it had the right to be that long but am confused as to why the words, stories, POV’s, and scenes that made that book so long were chosen. SO many words, such strange choices.

As a literary agent & writer, and father, I have long been a proponent of all books being considering books. Ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, print only. You SHOULD get credit (as if anyone needs credit) for listening to an audiobook. Or reading a graphic novel or, dare I say, even a Gn version.

Téa Obreht's new novel THE MORNINGSIDE is pretty fantastic. Combines the folklore of her first novel with the careful plotting of her second. Starts like a slow, character driven near future coming of age but oh does she have some magic up her sleeve.
