problem with "star wars" of today is they cut out the lean. "the force awakens" (to an extent) and "the last jedi" had lean in both feeling and aesthetic (don't look where "ryan's daughter" filmed). they abandoned melodrama for references. if i had forty hours a day, i'd write "from lean to lucas".

Just came back from watching Badlands in IMAX, really enjoyed it. Idk the Predator lore, just like the 1st movie, AvP & Prey so I didn't mind the humor maybe bcs I love the Great & wished SW also tried diff approaches. The sound, action & VFX were great & the critter didn't annoy me like BB Yoda lol
