Why didn't we see or hear ICE telling people to get off the street? What we saw was ICE shoving women forcefully to the ground. We've seen (with audio) numerous videos. None of them included show ICE instructing these women. What they do show are men pushing and shoving women to the ground.

Homeland Security sent a memo to Congress to explain the moments leading to Alex Pretti's death. In it they state people were told to get off the road. When they didn't they were sprayed with chemicals. How does ICE have the authority to control the public right-of-way? They are not the police.

I don’t think we should make concessions to the Masked Murderers Guild of America. I don’t think we should compromise so the Masked Murderers Guild of America stops using kidnapped kids from schools as bait. I thought this was already illegal. And I genuinely, truly and non-trollingly, understand concerns about threats to officers in question, but in every single other law enforcement shooting I've covered, authorities name the individual(s) involved. This is just the baseline of public accountability.

It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.
