What we’re witnessing now is widespread abandonment of disabled and vulnerable people. We’re seeing policies enacted that are designed to harm us. Cuts to services that are necessary for survival. This is eugenics, and it’s been made easier by the normalization of ableism.

When you become disabled or chronically ill, people abandon you. Most people have an internal clock. If you’re not “better” by the time their patience runs out, they disappear. If we can’t trust our loved ones to stick around, what hope do we have with elected officials or the general public?
