It is still really bad that they're floating it. A big concern with the homelessness/involuntary commitment executive order was that it could clear the way for involuntary commitment of trans folks. This trial balloon, defining trans ppl as unstable/dangerous shows how real this threat is.

Gun ownership may be the single “right” the GOP has considered inviolate for over 40 years. That they are willing to even consider denying this right to trans people shows how far they will go to remove their humanity. Fuck these people all around.
