one protection I'd like to see with children and AI is that chatbots should be banned from having "memory' (i.e. recalling previously conversations and customising their output based on that) with non-adult users.

JUDITH BUTLER: clearly the so-called ‘Wests Tigers’ has been a questionable agglomeration of two profoundly distinct cultural entities but its successes have been real, and live in the memory of the 2005 grand final. It would be foolish to dismiss that

Reminded that there used to be a show about GPs called “GP” and another one about the Police Rescue Service called “Police Rescue”. Of course, this was before the computer got involved.

There’s a bird outside that sounds like the horn riff from Steely Dan’s “Peg” (also sampled by De La Soul on “Eye Know”).

What would happen to England if train ticket prices were set by someone who wants lots of people to ride trains? I once had an empty car to myself for £80 and thought: This could have been 40 people each paying £2. Instead, those people are on competing buses on the motorway.
