This is awesome but its also the wards that need it the least. I'd be thrilled to see a store open on my street. But the suburban wards where folks have to drive to pick up milk and eggs are the ones who actually need this! The arguments against have been so detached from reality.

Not a fan of yet another "suburbs get to opt-out of growing up" plan. As with six-plexes, it's rule by fiat of ward councillors.

Part-time councillor really makes it seem like the kind of gig only meant for white collar professionals who can take (and afford) a sabbatical. Or business owners who can farm off daily management while still cashing pay-cheques.

For only two round trips a day, they've really maximized utility for Kit->Tor trips. The "daytime shopping/eventing" trip (9-4) The "evening party" trip (5-11pm) The "whole dang day" trip (9am-11pm)

The irony here, is that the "fastest trip today" should be more like 30 minutes, but the Eglinton Crosstown refuses to open.

It’s really disappointing that there are only two weekend train round trips beyond Mount Pleasant; I don’t see why there cannot be a few more trips, especially for those going to Kitchener-Waterloo from Toronto, or between KW and Guelph. PDF schedule here:

I haven't seen that security question option before... But it's funny to see it pop up only now, given the ever increasing number of adults who would have no answer.

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor. A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

The Toronto
#BlueJays
gave us arguably the closest
#WorldSeries
in modern history, and the most fun and inspiring playoff run I can remember in any sport. I LOVE THAT TEAM, and 100% believe
#TORONTO
should have a HUGE CELEBRATION ANYWAY, to thank the team, fans, city and COUNTRY for a legendary run!

As a Dodgers fan, I literally feel like Sarah Connor at the end of the first Terminator. That’s how good the Blue Jays were. Like we won but I’m so traumatized I’m going to lose custody of my son because I trained him to shoot weapons in Nicaragua and I’ll end up in a max cell at Pescadero

No joke, the prior record for longest the longest World Series (in the modern era) was 69 (achieved in both 1924 and 1991). The longest World Series of all time is 75 innings in 1912, when they played eight games and one ended in a tie.
