CHURCH STREET PEDESTRIANIZATION MOTION IS GOING TO COUNCIL! We need people to come speak at TEYCC (Toronto East York Community Council) on April 30 to support it, and for people to start contacting/emailing their councillors! We also have a petition coming out on Wednesday!

Middle Life, starring the lead couple from July Talk, is a decent little throwback romantic comedy. My review:

Middle Life Review - Brief Take
Pavan Moondi's film serves up a knowingly familiar slice of romantic comedy cinema, with just enough strange details to charm an audience.

If the Ford government has any evidence showing that ripping out bike lanes is sound urban transportation policy and not just a political stunt fueling a culture war, we'd sure love to see it! (We're also still in limbo waiting on our FOI requests.)

re: minimum lot sizes in Toronto -- do we need this regulation? Doesn't reality itself provide this, e.g. propose too big a building on too small a lot and it's not actually feasible/desirable to build it?

We're thrilled to see transit experts lay out a plan to revolutionize the streetcars! When we held our Streetcar Summit, the most popular solutions among riders were effective signal priority, banning left turns, installing 2-point switches, & more. Experts & riders agree - let's get on with it!

Hmm. MX could increase the number of trains, which would add capacity while also making the service more useful. Or it could add capacity by removing the luggage racks and make it less useful Is this a tough call?
