Matt Hancock has told the Inquiry that discharging untested NHS patients into Care Homes saved lives. He says there was 'no alternative'. We know, looking at how other countries dealt with the pandemic, that there was an alternative. Lives could and should have been saved.

Dido Harding has suggested to the Inquiry that spending £3 million per day on Test & Trace consultants represented value for money. Many consultants were paid more than £6k a day. The Public Accounts Committee found there was no evidence that Test & Trace cut Covid infections.

'There you go again discussing a perfect world'. Matt Hancock perfectly encapsulates Anna Morris KC's reference to a 'chorus of denial' in her Module 5 closing statement for Bereaved Families. We didn't need perfection. Putting public health before profit would have been enough.

Justice for the Covid Bereaved isn't just about learning lessons. It's about ensuring all those who were negligent or corrupt are held accountable. That includes criminal charges for those who profited at the expense of public health. We look forward to more arrests.

This is a huge moment for Justice in the UK. It should never take survivors and bereaved families decades of fighting against the odds to achieve Justice. The Government has a choice now. Break its promise or introduce a Hillsborough Law, fit for purpose, that honours those we fight for.

Today at the Covid Inquiry, Anna Morris KC highlighted the 'chorus of denial' from those responsible for the unlawful VIP-Lane. But the evidence is clear. The VIP-Lane prioritised serving the friends of politicians over the delivery of usable PPE. The consequences were deadly.

Today, the Covid Inquiry heard that the government instructed PPE suppliers to prioritise English NHS settings over Scotland. Just as shocking, the government withdrew embassy support from Scottish government officials negotiating PPE deals in foreign countries.
