At this point, pretermissions take up 90% of the volunteering I do at immigration court. I see entire courtrooms filled with families DHS wants to send to Ecuador. To Uganda. To Honduras. They're scared. They don't know what's going on.

Today, our community coalesced around Peter as he went into an ICE check-in at Federal Plaza for the first time after he was given a pardon by the Governor of New York. Despite his clemency, the very real threat of detention during this check-in loomed.

DISAPPEARED IN NEW YORK: Fei and Yuanxin are a Chinese father and 6-year-old son seeking asylum. Yuanxin is in 1st grade at a public school in Astoria. They were arrested and separated from each other during an ICE check in at 26 Federal Plaza. They must be reunited with each other immediately.
