I was in the middle of developing tools to understand memory fragmentation issues in a win32 program when a wine update switched me over to wow64 (now 32bit exes are in 64bit linux processes) and the fragmentation disappeared because .so files move beyond the 4GiB boundary

Ahhh, MyWorld. Or maybe dWorld? My first job out of uni. I think I made the very first building editor, or at least a prototype of one? But I went off to work on editors for APB, where I was very proud of my sloped walls, grime, gutters and downspouts. I only returned to MyWorld much later.

I did a comparison of latency in ffxiv, windows vs. linux! (bumped mouse and timed how long it took to turn the camera) - ffxiv is surprisingly low latency, basically no difference between a text editor and it - no statistically significant difference between windows and linux
