Okay, gonna try this once more and if it doesn't stream good maybe it's time to revisit Persona 5.

I don't think video games really need so many buttons. Silksong has jump, attack, heal, music(??), dash, special, harpoon, map, menu 1, menu 2, taunt(???). That's so many! I miss Sonic the Hedgehog being like "jump and pause, sounds plenty, uhh... just make all the others jump as well".

Silksong, an exercise in "can you ever get tired of the experience of finding a hole in the wall and then discovering it's an entire secret area". Yes, yes it turns out you actually can.

I got scowled at so bad for not recognising a single-file queue when I went to Bloc and I was like "I am too socially inept for this" but now I'm like wait a minute, you all changed the rules on me! This isn't how bars are supposed to work!

Why is the SEO on the official Python docs so singularly terrible? Never at the top, often below lots of much spammier sites with very dubious authority. It's worse on Bing than Google.

Savage Beastfly is a meta-commentary on gameplay. It says that if you keep banging your head against a wall you will achieve all your dreams. (Living as a frustrated shut-in squashing an unending stream of bugs.)

Geez, really struggling to understand how you're supposed to safely use private Python indexes. Like, as soon as you have a single "private" package it seems you are relying on every one of your developers having a perfectly configured system to guard against somebody squatting the package.

Urgh Iosevka what are you doing here. Does it define custom ligatures for consecutive pipes? I don't see them in the list. I'm not a fan of "coding" ligatures. Some of them are cute but I don't like not knowing what's actually there. Showing β for != is a crime.

What's the theory behind hyperlinks in Gnome Shell not actually bringing the browser window into the foreground? It just pops up a dinky notification instead. Does it prohibit *all* transfer of focus/raising of windows that isn't *directly* initiated via the window manager?

What do we think might have been broken here? Some components and fastenings, but no obvious housing or, like, assembly. Street furniture? Bicycle? Was near to pedestrian lights, but I didn't notice anything smashed up. Mains voltage microswitch suggests something permanent, maybe?

Today I learned you can configure a key in `less` to quit and show the last screenful of output. Normally it shows everything in the alternate screen and that goes away when it exits.

Anybody know what actually happens when you select this resolution on a retina mac? Nothing looks blurry, and I really need the space to work on the 13 inch screen, but it also breaks horribly every time I dock or undock and needs the resolution changed to something else and back.

Is there really no `git revert -p` or `git cherry-pick -p`? I'm surprised, I can't find a git command to interactively present the inverse hunks from a commit and ask "do you want to undo this one?" I think I need to `git revert -n COMMIT`, resolve any conflicts and then trim with `git restore -p`?

Bluesky seems to be awfully confusing and/or inconsistent about how and where it shows new same-author replies to old threads. In *whether* they appear, in how they are sorted relative to other replies, and in how they phase in and out of even the profile view over time, let alone feeds.

My city centre bus stop has been closed for a few days due to a "large sinkhole" and I wonder if they mean "pothole" because I feel like they would have to do more than close the bus stop if a large sinkhole had opened up.

Oh god how do I rebind mouse buttons in Gnome Shell/Wayland? I can remap all my keys with kmonad but nothing seems to work for mouse buttons. I just want to a) get rid of the horrible "back" and "forward" effects and b) bind them to useful global things like desktop switching or push-to-talk.

What does this sentence mean? I think it's using "elision" like "conflation"? I guess elide/elision is often used in phrases about eliding a distinction or boundary, is that just implicit now? It's trying to say "these two terms are used as if they were synonymous", isn't it?

I was mildly shocked returning from Mac to Linux and discovering that preferences still live in the edit menu. Wtf. I just assumed this was one of those things that would have been sorted out by now. (On Macs they live in the application menu.)

My main problem with em-dashes is simply that the height of an M is not nearly long enough. They only look goodββand they do look goodββ βwhen they give the words space to breathe. I think a spaced en-dash is too fussy β it looks like a dotted line.
